As a black man that grew up in the South, I can attest that in my area and the places I’ve been to, pretty much all of the things in that basket are definitely STEREOTYPICALLY things that black people like.
Obviously other races like those things, but this is just what the stereotype is for some reason.
And yes, some people/women absolutely talk like that

Just so you know, G does not say "f-ing bastard" when the clip is censored, he says "fluffy bastard;" Fluffy is Gabriel's nickname/stagename. I don't know why the clip, which is the one from Gabriel's official channel, censors what is clearly not a swear word.

There is a sequel to this story in his special from 2016 (I think it’s that year), where a white man from Alabama does the same thing to him in front of his live audience, and totally blows Gabriel’s own attempt out of the water, and beats him at his own joke. You gotta check it out.

I am an old white woman from the Tennessee mountains, watching this and eating cold fried chicken.I have loved this story for years and I have to say,to me that is the perfect holiday basket I don't care who you are. honestly, everything in that basket is present (except for the condoms,the magazine,the DVD and the 40)at every single southern church picnic for the last 75 years.

Love Fluffy. His iconic bits are about his step son and there are two about getting pulled over. Watch Krispy Kreme and then the one about the road trip and the hootchie mamas. The second is the best. I'd finish with Gabriel's visit to Saudi Arabia. Keep it up. Love your breakdown of rap music, which I know less about. Your Weird Al vids, too.

I grew up near Fresno. YES, this totally rings true.

As someone who grew up in and lives in Fresno, I can absolutely attest to the fact that many black women here, especially on the southwest side of the city, speak exactly like that. It’s more of a cultural thing than a local accent.

Gabriel is funny as heck and, an added bonus.... He's mostly clean-mouthed! I used to sit down and watch his sets with my little nephews and my sister did not raise a stink! The boys have grown now.... But we still love to watch Gabe together. 🙂

Gabriel Iglesias is hilarious. There's literally nothing he's done that's not funny as all get out, and fun to watch.

His bits about messing with the police when getting pulled over, chocolate cake, his step son, wife, basically just silly stuff that happens to him on the road. His story about the time he and Trevor Noah were on tour is hilarious.

I'm from South Mississippi. Public & elected officials speak like that. You, sir, are very articulate. I like your reactions.

G Reilly is an absolute mensch. Been following him on Facebook for years, just a thoughtful, kind-hearted guy with a fun sense of humor.

Fluffy is one of the funniest comedians of today i feel, he's a story teller comedian, my favorite kind, and he adds characterizations to his stories to make them come alive, his range of accents is quite amazing and convincing.
Do check out more of his stuff because the man is seriously funny and doesn't shy away of making fun of himself as well.

If I could suggest one other Gabriel Iglesias set, the Magic Mike story is a side splitter. He has a ton of absolutely glorious stories, but the Magic Mike is one of the best, no contest.

You’re right, stereotypes work because there’s enough truth behind them to provide some validity. Was trying to explain stereotypes to a friend. We name a group of people ( Germans, Mexicans, Southerners, etc) and a stereotype about them, and he knew someone who fit the stereotype. Until we said, “All blacks have rhythm,” and he started laughing. He was a musician and knew a few blacks who couldn’t keep rhythm if their life depended upon it.

G Riley apparantly confirmed this is a real story on one of his standup routines. Apparantly Gabriel and Martine actually did what the skit was about lol. My suspicion is that the stereotypes of black men and women that seem to be so prevalent are more an "issue" of their culture rather than race. I imagine this isn't something that middle and upper middle class black folks can really relate to, and this is more of a commonality in poverty, and with the fried chicken thing, areas of the south. That's just my guess though and i'm not a sociologist so lol

Gabriel is one of the best story tellers and has been for many years. You really should avail yourself of more of his performances. He has his own YT channel. The one where he was invited to Arabia is also too funny for words.

Some of his best stories have been made into animation he uploads under the name Fluffy Bits. One that fans aren't going to mention a whole lot is the one where he and his buddy go to the theme park and do the log ride. It's so cute, and the way it turns out is so unexpected if you've never heard the story.

You have to listen to the story of Fluffy pulling out of Krispy Kream and getting stopped by a cop and after that, you listen to Fluffy getting stopped along with two hoochies. You make a cop laugh and you can get out of a ticket... The second story feeds off of the first one. He is a great story teller and his sound impressions are amazing.

I think I was in college and one of my friends showed me this video on RUclips and then I saw pretty much all this stuff from then on

Fluffy is one of the funniest and nicest people I've ever had the chance to meet. Wild story about this. It was 2012 and I had just graduated Highschool and one of my parents friends knew I loved movies and had given me gift cards to AMC Theaters. One day during the summer I went to the AMC By my house and went and Saw Prometheus. After the movie my mom told me to meet her at the best buy next to the theater I was at. I went to the Best Buy and there was a small line out side of the store with a couple security guards at the door. I thought something had happened. So I go to the end of the line and im just standing waiting to go to the store and one of the security guard comes to side of the line and says who is last in line? I raise my hand and another security guard comes to me and gives me a card board cutout of Fluffy and tell me Fluffy will sign it when it is my turn to meet him. Que my utter confused excitement. I wait about 15 minutes and I got to meet him talk for a few minutes and took pictures. He was a genuinely wholesome person and will never forget that experience.
